This Policy outlines our basic safeguarding procedures, and is issued in conjunction with the Agreement. If you seek further clarification on any issue, please contact us:

Site privacy
When you visit the Site, you do so anonymously and without obligation. Occasionally, certain technical and navigational information may be gathered such as browser type, IP address, pages visited, and average time spent on the page. This information is mainly used to alert us of any digital difficulties, and may be analyzed to help improve our web design and functionality.

Portions of the Site enable the user to voluntarily recommend, or “send,” the web page to one or more friends and/or nonprofit organizations. This referral service is solely based on the discretion of the sender, and results in a one-time invitational email to the cited parties; based on stated preferences, the recommender may or may not be identified.

Direct use of the Site and Service is not intended for persons under the age of 18. No minor shall knowingly be allowed to register for the Service or to serve as a group chairperson; under proper supervision, youths are nevertheless encouraged to play active ancillary roles in the event, in accordance with the terms of the Agreement.

How we gain, use and protect your information
To register for the Service all nonprofit organizations are required to complete a brief application form. This form, provided with the project kit, remains subject to the approval of eFundraise.org. For purposes of security and record-keeping, all contact information you provide to us will be kept on-hand, in a safe and confidential manner. We pledge never to solicit sensitive financial or bank account information from our groups, unless it becomes necessary to ensure federal tax-exempt status, nor shall we request any direct fee or payment which requires the disbursement of group funds.

To further guarantee the privacy of participants, a filtering system is in place whereby all item-related emails and purchase orders are passed through eFundraise.org and personally monitored by its Community Care Team before being forwarded to their group emailbox. Beyond the evident time-saving benefits of responding to general inquiries and customer service issues, this safeguard helps protect sensitive contact information, and reduces any possibility of viruses, worms or unwanted SPAM. Relatedly, if group “email sharing” is of concern, our Team is available to help groups set up new, secondary email accounts to be jointly accessed by volunteers during the fundraiser.

EFundraise offers full assurance to its participants and e-customers, present and past, that no personally identifiable information will be sold, rented, shared, or otherwise disclosed or compromised, without the express consent of the involved party, in accordance with the conditions set forth in this Policy.

Voluntary information and anonymous data
If we collect information through the Site and/or the Service that you provide voluntarily via surveys, email correspondence, or other means, we may use this information for purposes deemed fit under the Policy and Agreement. In some instances eFundraise.org may solicit express permission to use or share a participants’ information, such as pertain, by way of example, to testimonials, perceived “success stories,” or requests for project coverage from third-party media outlets; participants retain the right to abstain from any or all such requests.

No participating organization is required to publicly identify itself during the selling process, remaining anonymous if desired. Nevertheless, it is commonplace for a group to waive this right, such as by citing its name and mission within item descriptions (e.g., “Proceeds benefit ___.”) and through various forms of customer correspondence.

EFundraise disclaims all liability for the manner in which participants disclose information, personal or organizational, and/or for the usage of this information by other third-parties, intended or unintended, resulting thereof.

Protection of e-customers
As an advocate for nonprofit fundraising practices, eFundraise.org respects and encourages attempts made by participating organizations to cultivate relationships with potential and actual online customers (“Buyers”). It is recognized, by way of example, that email interactions may result in future contributions and services offered to these organizations, or in professional or personal affiliations. To ensure that the nature of these correspondences remains voluntarily by all involved parties, the following terms shall be honored with respect to Buyers: (i) a group is limited to only one unsolicited email, beside the standard email acknowledgment of order receipt or shipment; (ii) that email itself will serve as the sole medium of communication, if unsolicited; (iii) that neither the name or address of a Buyer will be added to any group mailing list or newsletter, print or electronic, without express Buyer consent; and (iv) that any and all Buyer-related information be treated as secure and confidential, and shall not be distributed, shared, sold, publicized or otherwise compromised in any way. EFundraise disclaims all warranty and liability for any conflict or repercussion issuing from participant-Buyer interactions, directly or indirectly, beyond the scope of the specific transaction.
